Buxton Fire Station

 

Buxton fire station is the principal station covering the High Peak and Derbyshire Dales area and also holds responsibility for issues relating to the Peak District National Park which is reputed to receive around 22 million tourist visitors a year.

 

The station was built in 1952, it houses two front line firefighting appliances, an Emergency Rescue Tender, a high rise aerial ladder platform, a large water carrier, a High Volume Pump (HVP) and a Land Rover Forward Control Unit.

 

Buxton station is staffed by Wholetime and Retained personnel.

 

There are 4 Wholetime shifts on the Station identified as Red, White, Blue and Green Watches.
