Wirksworth fire station

Wirksworth fire station was built in 1965.  It houses one front line fire appliance and one van for general transport.

The 14 personnel at Wirksworth are Retained,  this means that they carry a personal pager called an alerter, and respond to a fire-call either from their place of work or home.

For 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, the fire appliance can be mobilised in around 4 minutes from the time of call.
