Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service
 


New Mills fire station is located in the north west of the county and is staffed by 11 Retained personnel, who between them serve the community on a 24-7 basis.

Opened in 1969, the station serves the communities of New Mills, Birch Vale, Hayfield, Rowarth, Newtown and Furness Vale. 

The Station also plays a key part in supporting the fire appliances at Whaley Bridge and Chapel en le Frith while providing back-up and first attendance to ‘over border incidents’ in neighbouring counties Cheshire and Greater Manchester.
