Duffield community fire station, situated on the A6, was opened in March 2003, this replaced the existing building on Snake Lane that had served the local community for over 100 years.
The new location of the Station on Flaxholme Straight will help to reduce turn out times and ensure a faster response to any incidents. The Duffield crew of 11 Firefighters all live in the area.
