Melbourne fire station

Melbourne fire station was opened in 1964 moving from the old Station, which was in Church Street, next to the Blue Bell Inn.

The town of Melbourne situated in the South East corner of the County provides cover for a large area and a variety of risks from the rural village with its large expanse of agriculture and associated risks. The station is the first attendance appliance at East Midlands Airport, also providing cover to the City of Derby when the full time crews are fully committed.
