Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service

We offer a variety of Fire Safety Training services...

The Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service Training Centre is split over three sites.  The Littleover Headquarters site houses the Training Centre administration, lecture facilities and residential accommodation.  The Kingsway site is the location for the operational training facilities for breathing apparatus training, recruit, road traffic accident and first responder training.

The Ripley site is the location for the driving school unit and in addition to these facilities the Alfreton Community Fire Station can also be used for training purposes.

The section has a team of twenty.  This is made up of 17 uniformed, two support staff instructors and two full time equivalent administration staff.

The centre offers a wide range of courses designed to meet the training requirements of Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service and also provides recruit training courses and Health and Safety courses for other fire services.
